What is it for?

This enables mass document or content migration in minimum time.

More specifically, it allows you to retrieve files and file structures from various sources (Alfresco, another EDM, a classic file system); then reproduce identically or in a transformed way the structure and metadata on another source (Alfresco or Pristy, or another EDM).

This is called an “ETL” tool for extract-transform-load.

It can be used for data migration from an EDM, a network drive, or for continuous synchronization of data or documents from business software.

The advantages of our service

Migration with no impact on the production server

Our injection system relies on a queue, so the load on the server is adjustable and adaptable according to needs.

You can choose to prioritize injection time, and therefore increase the load on the server, or conversely prioritize injection with no impact on production which may take longer, but is transparent to operations.

Interruption management

Thanks to Kafka, we are able to resume the injection process if it has been interrupted. In case of voluntary – or involuntary – interruption, the queue pauses and resumes where it left off when the process restarts.

Easily adaptable

The chosen technology allows us to quickly and simply adapt our tool to a specific need.

The choice of modular Python scripts, simple to write (especially with AI assistance), allows the client to directly adapt the code to their needs.

Not just for Alfresco

As Alfresco specialists, we developed this solution for a need in this direction (in french).

But this solution is not specific to Alfresco. It can be connected to/from other sources. You can migrate from Alfresco to Alfresco, but you could also imagine Alfresco to Nextcloud, Sharepoint to Pristy (Alfresco), file server to Pristy, etc.
